CET PLATFORMA CROATIA

CET platforma Croatia is branch of regional CET network with organizations in Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro. CET was established as a group of experts from South East Europe with the aim to provide support, assistance, services and expertise in the field of the development of civil society and democratic institutions, civic values, and non-formal education for all citizens, especially young people. CET also deals with advocacy in public policy issues. CET organizes events (round tables, debates, seminars and workshops) on the issues of activism, education, promotion and exchange in the field of human rights, and development of local, regional, European and international relations and cooperation. CET especially promotes the development of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development (of civil society). CET also took role in our local society when it comes to activation of young people in different areas, active citizenship, organizing local events, cooperation with other NGOs in national level but also organizing the international activities in our city in order to make impact also on local society.

CET platform Croatia cooperated with many organisation from West Balkans and European Union on projects within Youth in Action and other programmes of CoE, EU and other international foundations with topics: social inclusion, youth activism, European awareness, etc. Annual plan of

CET Balkan network foreseen activities aiming to include big number of young people in activities of civil organisations and support them in social and professional development. Related to the project, as our country is new member state of EU, there is huge need for information about labour mobility

rights of our citizens within EU, including often issues due to lack in knowledge about rights.

CET platform Croatia organized 5 Erasmus+ projects in 2015. successfully.

Youth Exchange "Young Europe" which was organized in May 2015. was project about active citizenship with which we want to support young people to think about European union, European values and all diversities which exist in Europe. Also through this project our participants learn from each other about different cultures, experiences and through numerous non-formal methods they got knowledge about European union and how EU functioning.

Youth Exchange "Speak UP against discrimination" which was organized in August 2015. was the project in which participants through numerous non fromal methods express their opinions about human rights and different kinds of discrimination which they know from every day life. Through discussions, debates, presentations, group work and meetings with decision makers young people which participated on this project raise their awareness about human rights and gained better picture about discrimination. Also they find solutions which will be used in order to try to stop discrimination in their communities but definitely educate other young people and have impact on all citizens to stop discrimination and start to make Europe with same opportunities for all citizens.

Youth Exchange "Young Europe" which was organized in August 2015. on which participants through discussions, presentations, debates, round tables and numerous non formal methods gain knowledge about EU institutions, making decission process in EU etc. Through simulation of EU parliament participants improve their skills in public speak and also gain leadership skills which will be usefull on professional but also on private level of them and their organizations.

Training course "Stay Tuned Online" which was organized in September 2015. was project about promotion of youthwork and youth organization using online tools. As we all know, today the best way of promotion for anything is promote that online so with this project we educated young leaders and youthworker how to promote their activities, organizations, how to run campaigne online and how to bi visible online.

Training course "Creative entrepreneurship" which was organized in October 2015. was a project like the name says about entrepreneurship and funding opportunities for young entrepreneurs. On this training courses we educated young leaders and youthworkers how to create an idea, how to make bussines plan, how to research the market and which funding opportunities theycan use for realization of their ideas.

In 2018. we organized 1 training course and 2 youth exchanges:

Training course Human rights education for European values equalization gathered youthworkers from 10 different countries in order to educate them about methods and ways of education which they can use in their daily youthwork with young people on topics of human rights and migrations.

Youth exchange 3 Equality gathered 42 young people from 7 different countries in order to support them in discussion and promotion of human rights today in modern society and to raise their awareness about importance of protection of human rights and importance of promotion of equality in today society in all areas, especially in human rights.

Youth exchange Active citizens for 21st century job market gathered young people from 6 countries in order to give them opportunity to learn from each others about how to create Europass CV and language passport. 


INTERNATIONAL YOUTH COMMITTEE, IYC, BULGARIA

The aims of the Association are:

(a) to improve and reshape the civic self-consciousness of youth by stimulating them in being active citizens by creation of sustainable environment for participation in voluntary and educational initiatives;

(b) to encourage and support young people between the ages of 15 and 29 to discover their aspirations and talents, develop them further and turn them into their professions;

(c) to support young people by assisting them to participate in initiatives and programs for personal and professional development by stimulating them in their manifestations related to initiatives in the sphere of science, culture, arts, education, technology and sport;


(d) to stimulate the free exchange of ideas and information of scientific knowledge and intellectual values;

(e) to grow youth leaders and encourage partnerships between young people with diverse interests in the fields of science, culture, arts, education, technology and sport;

(f) to increase the competitiveness and adaptability of young people in terms of seeking and finding information and receiving consultancy related to scholarships, project funding, scientific competitions and other events related to the activity of the Association;

(g) to support the activities of state institutions, local authorities and the media in the dissemination of information related to all types of competitions and opportunities for professional and personal development of young people;

(h) to popularize the activity of the Association among the people;

(i) to use formal and non-formal education methods to stimulate the potential of young people;

(j) to provide opportunities for young people to participate in various international and cultural exchanges in the country and abroad for the purpose of their personal and professional development and enrichment;

(k) to support legislative initiatives in the field of science and education by subjecting them to a broad public debate and discussion. Initiatives include addressing economic, social, cultural and educational issues;

(l) to identify problems on local and national level and putting them under wide public debates aiming their resolution;

(j) to support talented youth with financial difficulties aiming to give them equal opportunities; for education and development;

(m) to provide information and guidance to young people who wish to complete their studies abroad but who do not have the necessary knowledge of foreign universities' application procedures and application procedures for financial support.

(n) to initiate, present and promote examples of active inclusion of young people in socially meaningful activities and partnerships with the state administration, local authorities, universities, schools, and all other types of educational institutions and the non-governmental sector that create an atmosphere of cooperation and cohesiveness;

(o) to realize mediation between young people and educational institutions in Bulgaria and the EU through networking and interaction between people from different social strata, different

professions and different institutions, aiming at their involvement in the work on social responsibility projects and programs, personal and professional development and sport;

(p) to support young people who have innovative ideas of start-up projects for setting up their own business.

Experience of the organisation

a) implementation of different types of projects, seminars, conferences, lectures and discussions to enable young people to express themselves and to be noticed by the business, public and non-profit sectors;

(c) consulting youth interested in the various opportunities the European Union provides young people with for education, internships and work.

(d) supporting young people in the process of application in foreign private and state institutions (incl.universities);

(e) preparation and participation in projects under the Framework Programs of the European Community and other international programs and initiatives in the field of science, culture, arts,

technology and sport; (f) applying for different types of projects and funding at national and international level in order to successfully achieve the goals of the Association;

(g)creating diverse channels of communication between young people with the aim toexchange information, knowledge, social inclusion and initiative;

(h) providing scholarships and other incentives to encourage and support young people in the fields of science, technology, art, education and sport;

(i) building partnerships between the Association and local authorities, higher and secondary schools - municipalities, local administrations, universities, schools, etc. through active dialogue to support young people and provide them with the necessary infrastructure, team and tools needed to unleash their talents.

(j) participation and assistance in the carrying out of initiatives, projects and programs which help develop socially responsible behavior of Bulgarian youth and demonstrate the benefit of observing high standards of civic and personal responsibility.


ASSOCIATION NO GORDIO, PORTUGAL

Nó Górdio is an association founded in 2015.

The purpose of the association is to provide services of a moral, cultural and material nature to persons and groups that lack them, developing activities to protect children, youth, the elderly, the family and the community, pursuing their well-being through solidarity and help. Our Association will develop to the good of the whole

.We promote, organize and develop social activities and / or events, with recreational, formative, cultural, social and competitive purposes.
We promote the exchange and cooperation with national and foreign associations and institutions that pursue objectives identical to those of the association.
We have participated (and we are still participating) in several Erasmus + projects selecting the adequate participants, doing all the preparation of the participants and support them with travel and other issues to implement the projects. We did/do the forward steps to disseminate and divulgate the results of the projects.

 

Citizen Association United Youth (The Republic of North Macedonia)

Citizens Association United Youth is a youth, non-governmental, non-profit organization working in the vicinity of the Municipality of Kocani, Republic of North Macedonia. The organization United Youth, has a defined program that aims to achieve international collaborations with organizations, institutions and individuals to bring them closer to European policies, cultures, traditions and trends. Through these international collaborations the traditional values of the Republic of North Macedonia, language, culture, folklore and customs will be promoted. The organization enables active collaboration with the environment, population and institutions and will promote equality for all citizens of Europe regardless of nationality, religion, level of education and age. The idea is to use education, culture and activities to encourage the development of citizens by using different forms of non-formal education. The organization cooperates and provides assistance and active promotion of persons with disabilities and their affirmation in open society. Through various awareness-raising activities we provide equal opportunities for youth with fewer opportunities and their active promotion in the EU. This organization organizes programs for social affirmation and promotion of persons with fewer opportunities who belong to the following categories:

- Persons from underdeveloped rural areas

- Persons with special needs

- Persons with cultural disabilities, migrants, immigrants

- Persons with financial problems, part of poor families

- Persons with a low level of education

In our organization we have different profiles of members: IT engineers, logistics expert, economist, lawyer, mechanical technician, psychologist, youth worker and sports ambassador. We have active members in the organization who organize humanitarian events and help people who are socially disadvantaged. Through these events they actively promote the organization. In our organization we have different profiles of members who work in different fields and are an active part of society. The organization has its own program that it adopts each year and, depending on the opportunities, offers training opportunities, social dialogue, workshops, debates and practical visits to the surrounding area. The organization actively participates in intercultural dialogue and offers an opportunity to understand the cultural, national, traditional and religious differences of Europe. United Youth also has an active partnership with local institutions, educational and cultural institutions and the media. Our organization actively organizes online campaigns that promote equal rights of citizens in Europe.

YOUTH MIX, ARMENIA

"Youth Mix" is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organization founded in 2013 and officially registered in 2016 by a group of young enthusiasts, who decided to combine their efforts on common goals. Our work is based on non-formal methodology, it is in line with the values and priorities of the European Union and we try to solve problems of youth in different spheres according to that path.

The right to final settlement of any issue of the organization's operations and management belong to the supreme body of the organization, the General Assembly, which is convened once every two years and currently consists of young people under 30.

Our mission: Boost society betterments by educating, inspiring, and mobilizing young people to raise their voices, and create real change through volunteerism, non-formal education and active citizenship.

Our vision: Shaping the future by unleashing, advancing and utilizing the full potential of youth.

Aims and objectives of "Youth Mix":

• Share values of respect for human dignity, liberty, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities.

• Encourage youth entrepreneurship, run activities aiming to reduce youth unemployment and develop innovative approaches for this goal.

• Promote active participation of youth in social life, likewise popularizing volunteerism among youth.

• Develop cooperation between young people in Armenia and abroad, in order to handle common problems, share practice, and take global actions.

• Contribute to the intercultural learning and cross cultural dialogue.

• Develop non-formal education and promote its methodology.

• Contribute to the preserving of environment and stimulate active healthy lifestyle among youth.

• Share information about ongoing and upcoming youth events, projects, seminars, training courses, etc., in order to increase the awareness among youth and give them opportunity to participate.

Our activities

All our activities aim to provide a safe, informal environment of self-expression, peer-to-peer learning, likewise encouraging young people's full involvement in their preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. In short, all our activities are designed by youth for youth.

We organize: Capacity building activities in the field of youth; Youth exchanges; Training courses; Study sessions; Seminars; Conferences; Research activities; Round tables; Educational programs, etc.

Our activities primarily target young people aged between 13 and 30 from rural/remote areas, who face geographical, social, economic and educational hardships. Equality, inclusion and diversity are the core values laying under the work with young people.

Within last 3 years "Youth Mix" has co-organised 4 KA2 Capacity building in the field of youth project, 3 international youth exchanges in Latvia, has organized and hosted 18 International youth exchanges in Armenia. For the same period of time our members have participated in 3 two-stage training courses/seminars, likewise 16 mobility of young people and youth workers projects in Norway, Germany, Latvia, Moldova, Georgia, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Italy etc.

Here is some detailed information about some our activities:

- KA2 project "You(th) 4 Cul/fu(ture)" - The aim is to educative innovative pathway for boosting employability potential of NEETs throughout creative and cultural entrepreneurship education.

- KA2 project "Youth workers for gender equality and young women's empowerment" - which addresses the problem of gender discrimination and aims at empowering young women in social and economic domains.

- "Ancient crafts in Contemporary light". Karsava, Latvia - The main objectives of this project were to develop business competences of participants and view ancient crafts of participating countries from business prospective.

- "The deeper in the forest, the greener". Karsava, Latvia.

- "Path to dignity". Bad Laer, Germany. - The aim of the training was to support to involve youth in formal and non-formal education in developing human rights education and to enable them to act as multipliers for human Rights education specifically in this subject to get skills and develop the knowledge how to deal with the problem.

- "Inclusion grows". Tecklenburg, Germany. - This was an opportunity for youth group in risk of social exclusion to speak directly about their rights and to create some photos and short movies to promote in the issue of poverty and marginalization and encouraging young people's awareness and commitment to tackling these issues for a more inclusive society.

Since 2015 NGO "Youth Mix" together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments every year organizes "International school of a young innovator", which unites young innovators, scientists and professionals on the topic of innovation based startups' development and promotion.

BELARUSIAN YOUTH PUBLIC UNION NEW FACES, BELARUS 

Belarusian Youth Public Union New Faces is a Belarusian NGO, registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus on February 20, 1997. BYPU New Faces is based on the democratic principles of openness, tolerance and equality, uses innovative ways of work and methodology of non-formal education and promotes active citizenship of young people in Belarus. Our mission is Belarusian civil society strengthening and development. BYPU New Faces aims at supporting youth initiatives in areas of culture, education, information, environment, as well as at assisting the development of democratic youth movement in Belarus. New Faces strives to the international understanding and cooperation between young people, promotes peace and struggles against intolerance and discrimination.

BYPU New Faces has 20 years of experience in youth empowerment through different activities like international youth exchanges, training courses, conferences, educational seminars, campaigns, cultural festivals, workshops, publications on youth matters, partnership work with NGO's of Belarus (Development of the Network of the social organizations working with disadvantaged youth), etc. The project's topics are personal development, entrepreneurship, intercultural learning and dialogue, volunteering, social inclusion, youth with fewer opportunities, healthy life-style, gender equality, social entrepreneurship art and culture. All the projects are aimed at young people and designed to support their ideas and initiatives.
